Advanced Energy Services owner, Mike Werner has been an energy conservation contractor for 38 years. In 1977, at the young age of 18, Mike received his contractors license and went into business with his father, opening Werner & Sons, an insulation, window, and heating & air conditioning company in Sacramento, California. When Mike’s father became ill, they sold the business and a year later Mike once again found himself as a business owner. However, this time Mike & his wife, Julia’s passion for energy conservation and the desire to help homeowners inspired them to open four offices throughout California – Sacramento, San Jose, Upland and El Cajon. In 2000, Mike again expanded, adding Solar to his repertoire. Mike’s expertise lead him to participate in many community events and on advisory boards for two utility districts. With a desire to be close to her family,Julia convinced him to move to her hometown of Portland Oregon in 2007. Soon after they sold their California businesses and settled in Portland, Advanced Energy Services was formed and ready to start helping Oregon homeowners save energy.

Mike has personally helped over 10,000 homeowners by installing dual pane windows, hvac solar and home weatherization resulting in lower utility bills and increasing the energy efficiency of their homes.  All this by installing energy saving measures, including thousands of photovoltaic solar systems. The Portland based company supplies Energy Efficient Windows and Doors and PV Solar to consumers all over Oregon.
