Advanced Energy Services owner, Mike Werner has been an energy conservation contractor for 42 years. In 1977, at the young age of 18, Mike received his contractors license and went into business with his father.
They opened Werner & Sons, an insulation, window, and heating & air conditioning company in Sacramento, California. Mike’s desire to help homeowners throughout California save energy led him to expand his horizons and in 1997 he opened Future Energy Services with offices in San Jose, Upland, & El Cajon. In 2000, Mike again expanded, adding Solar Energy to his repertoire.

Mike’s expertise lead him to participate in many community events and on advisory boards for two utility districts. With young children and a desire to be close to her family, Julia convinced Mike to sell the businesses and move to her hometown of Portland, Oregon in 2007. Once they were settled in the Pacific Northwest, it did not take long for Mike to open Advanced Energy Services and start helping Oregon homeowners save energy.
